Starr’s Mill welcomes Kendrick to the Panther family. This is her 20th year in education, and she will be teaching 9th grade English with Patrick Cheney.
“‘People may not remember what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel,’ and I try to live by that quote every day,” Kendrick said.
Kendrick used to work as a Delta flight attendant. She started teaching when she was young and decided she wanted to travel the world. She stayed with Delta for 25 years.
Kendrick’s inspirations include her children and family. She loves to teach and to learn and believes it is important to have an open mind.
“I love teaching, and I love learning,” Kendrick said, “I’m learning something new every day. As you learn, I learn, too. I think you should always have an open mind and be open to whatever educational opportunities you might have.”
When Kendrick is not spending time at the school teaching, her favorite hobbies are cooking, reading, and traveling. She has three children and a pet dog.
